Pond Lehocky Giordano Managing Partner honored by Temple University Beasley School of Law with the Pond Classroom and Courtroom

Managing partner, Samuel H. Pondwas honored last month with the unveiling of the new Samuel H. Pond Classroom and Courtroom at Temple University Beasley School of Law. Pond, a proud Temple alumnusis currently in his fourth-year teaching as a professor of law at the school and was inducted into the Gallery of Success at Temple last year.

I always wanted to give back to all of the schools that I have attended,” Pond shared. “I am a big believer in education and opportunity that education has given me in the practice of law.  I don’t know how often I will be teaching in the room and it will probably be rare because my class is too big to fit into that room. The Pond classroom and courtroom really epitomizes what it is to be Philadelphian and how to bring that kind of grit into a courtroom. I hope that my experience and my training as an advocate makes a difference in life.”

Pond is joined by senior associate, and newly appointed Adjunct Professor of Law, Melissa Chandy for their class “Workers’ Compensation,” focuses on the practical implications of workers’ compensation law from a practitioner’s point of view.  The semester will bring in additional Pond Lehocky leadership as guest speakers, including Shawn Lehocky and Thomas J. Giordano.

Pond is a founding and managing partner of Pond Lehocky Giordano, one of the largest workers’ compensation and disability law firms in Pennsylvania. A former President of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, he served for six years as treasurer of that organization’s Committee for a Better Tomorrow. He has previously served in leadership roles for numerous organizations, including chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section and member of the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners.
