Pond Lehocky provides 200 lunches to health care workers on National Nurses Day

To celebrate National Nurses Day, the largest workers’ compensation firm in Pennsylvania is buying $10,000 worth of lunches for hundreds of health care workers battling COVID-19 in two of the largest hospitals in Philadelphia.

HEALTH CARE WORKERS

The law firm Pond Lehocky is partnering with Paganos, a local restaurant in Philadelphia, to provide healthy wraps and sandwich trays to hundreds of health care workers at University of Pennsylvania Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital on Wednesday. By partnering with a Philadelphia restaurant, Pond Lehocky is also helping to support local business and refuel the local economy, which align with the firm’s community initiatives.

POND LEHOCKY GIVES BACK

Pond Lehocky’s lunch donations to health care workers comes after the firm kicked off its pandemic volunteer efforts, paying full-time employees to volunteer every week at Philadelphia’s Share Food Program. Share is a nonprofit organization serving a regional network of community organizations engaged in food distribution, education, and advocacy. Each week, Pond Lehocky staff members package food boxes and help deliver them to needy seniors and families in the area.

COMMUNITY VISION

Community is a core value at Pond Lehocky. It is engrained in our culture as a firm and as humans. During the COVID-19 crisis, it has been critical to the firm that we continue to serve our community in as many ways as possible. It is a privilege to represent the hard-working people, many of whom are on the front lines fighting the virus. They have trusted the firm to fight for them and the firm’s partners believe that with this privilege, giving back to the community through educational and charitable efforts is not just an option, it’s a duty.
