The head of Pond Lehocky Giordano’s long-term disability department, Michael J. Parker, hosted the first-ever long-term disability Facebook Live Q&A where viewers asked questions about long-term disability, how to file a claim, Social Security disability, and workers’ rights.
The recorded broadcast, which last about an hour, can be streamed on the firm’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/PondLehocky/videos/978954989201222
Throughout the live Q&A Parker answered many questions regarding long-term disability and the differences between that and Social Security disability. The educational conversation touched on best practices, the process of filing a claim, and the impact of the pandemic.
“The pandemic has affected many of the claims thus far. We have pushed that way through so far. You know, we’re four months into the pandemic right now and we’re still pursuing all of our claims,” Parker shared at the beginning of the broadcast. “On a personal note, my grandmother passed away as a result of the Coronavirus. People should absolutely consider long term disability benefits if they can’t perform their past job due to contracting the virus.”
Parker, who was recent published in The Legal Intelligencer for his article on Three different disability claims available to COVID-19 Victims, shared with viewers the best way to contact him and his team is via email at LTD@pondlehocky.com.
