Compassion for Clients Motivates Pond Lehocky’s Newest Workers’ Compensation Attorney

Pond Lehocky welcomes Mr. Taylor Cohen as its newest workers’ compensation attorney. Mr. Cohen’s commitment to helping workers, coupled with his passion for seeing justice done for those injured on and off the job, has driven his education and career.

“To help people understand that they do have options—and to stand by them at one of the most difficult times of their life—is incredibly rewarding,” he said.

Before joining Pond Lehocky, Mr. Cohen clerked for two federal agencies responsible for interpreting and enforcing a range of labor and employment statutes focused on the protection of workers’ rights. He interned at the U.S. Department of Labor, where he drafted documentation related to OSHA fatality cases, and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. As a student at Penn State, he focused on labor studies, employment relations, and human resources earning both a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree from Penn State’s School of Labor and Employment Relations. Mr. Cohen’s time as a member and captain of Penn State’s Division One Varsity Men’s Tennis Team provided him with the leadership, teamwork, and time management skills necessary for the rigorous, competitive, and urgent nature of workers’ compensation practice.

Mr. Cohen’s personal life also demonstrates a keen interest in public service. He volunteers with the Feds Feed Families Campaign, a government-wide food drive and has spent three years working with the Centre County Special Olympics as a tennis coach for competing athletes. He is also a Rubin Public Interest Law Honor Society Fellow.

“I’m proud to join a firm that’s known for standing up when it comes to workers’ rights,” said Mr. Cohen. “This is a stellar team, and I look forward to serving my clients with every bit of expertise and dedication I can offer.”
