Paul Loriston earned his B.A. in Economics from New College of Florida, in Sarasota, Florida in May of 2018. While at New College, Mr. Loriston served as student body president and president of the Black Student Union.
Mr. Loriston went on to receive his J.D. from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law, graduating and delivering the commencement speech for the Class of 2022. At Temple, he served on the boards of Temple Law’s Black Law Student Association and Political and Civil Rights Society. Mr. Loriston also held student clerkships with the Honorable L. Felipe Restrepo, on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the Honorable Mitchell S. Goldberg and the Honorable Richard Lloret, on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Loriston was a criminal defense attorney in Philadelphia before joining Pond Lehocky Giordano.
Mr. Loriston is on the Executive Committee of the Barristers’ Association — an organization designed to help address the professional needs and development of black lawyers, judges, and law students in the Greater Philadelphia area. He is also active in the Temple Inn of Courts, and the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association. Mr. Loriston is fluent in Haitian-creole.
