Michael P. Boyle earned his bachelor’s degree at University of Pennsylvania and his law degree at Boston University School of Law.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Boyle served as law clerk to the Honorable Robert Williams of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. Following that, he worked for various firms in Philadelphia representing union members in civil matters including Social Security disability and workers’ compensation. In 1988, he founded his own firm, The Law Office of Michael P. Boyle.
Mr. Boyle is an active member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the National Association of Disability Representatives (NADR), and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR). From 2012 to 2014, Mr. Boyle wrote a weekly column for the Philadelphia Public Record, and from 2006 to 2014 he lectured for the National Business Institute on topics related to Social Security disability and Supplemental Security Income.
In 1979, he was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and is currently admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
At Pond Lehocky, Mr. Boyle is a founding member of the Social Security Disability Appellate Division. His practice focuses on handling complex disability claims that cannot be resolved at the administrative level, and require an appeal to the Federal Courts.
